Sommore's latest stand-up special, 'Chandelier Status', shot last year at the Miramar Cultural Center in Florida, comes to DVD next month!
Her last stand-up special was the hysterical 'The Queen Stands Alone' and was released in 2007. You can bet Sommore will be shining bright as a 'chandelier' as she delivers her brand of comedy, covering every topic from celebrities to giving gifts with "nothing off limits".
You can pre-order it now on Amazon, or pick it up when it drops on May 28!
ComicView, the highly successful stand up show that ran on BET from 1992-2008 is making a comeback! ComicView will return to the BET schedule later this year, and what better way to celebrate its return than bringing back one of its' favorite hosts, Sommore! She hosted the show from 1994-1995. The rest of the Royal Comedy Tour comedians are no stranger to ComicView. Other past hosts include DL Hughley, Bruce Bruce, Don 'DC' Curry, Gary Owen, Arnez J, and J. Anthony Brown.
With its' last run spanning over 15 years, we're definitely looking forward to seeing ComicView back, and hoping this time around lasts just as long!
If you missed it...
It was all Chandelier status on the Tom Joyner Morning Show today! Queen Sommore was a special guest this Friday. She laughed it up with Tom, Sybil, and comedian Dominique, turning all of their news topics into absolute hilarity.
"Tom, Sybil, Dominique and comedian Sommore start Friday off right with Tom’s solo 'Man Dance', D.L. Hughley’s “Dancing With the Stars” performance"... and more.
Sommore chatted about the Royal Comedy Tour dates this weekend in Washington DC and Houston, her thoughts on DL's upcoming quick step dance on Dancing with the Stars, and the retirement of the 70 year old twin prostitutes in Amsterdam. By no means was it a dull morning!
While in town for the RCT Oakland show last Saturday, March 16, Mark Curry stopped by local TV station, San Francisco's KPIX 5 for the Bay Sunday report. He highlighted on old clips from Hangin' with Mr. Cooper, what it's like to be a part of the Royal Comedy Tour, his idols- Bill Cosby and Richard Pryor, how he tests out his new material, working with Scott Baio on the Nichelodeon TV show See Dad Run, and his love for family sitcoms. Mark- you did a fabulous job on "Bay Sunday"! If you aren't in the Bay area or haven't seen the clip- it's a must watch, Mark is too funny!
In a recent radio interview with Tony Rock and Bruce Bruce, while out on the road... we got some family secrets out of Tony. We caught him talking about how he uses his brother's name when he's introuble. Let's hope he's really joking! LOL
Check out the clip below!
The reviews are starting to come in! We pulled these reviews off of Ticketmaster from some happy audience members that came out to our kick off show in New Orleans. Keep the good words coming! Tweet us during the show- @RoyalComedyTour

The Royal Comedy Tour 2013 kicked off in New Orleans last weekend.
Sommore chatted in a recent interview on the Tom Joyner Morning Show. She spoke about the upcoming tour and what to look forward to. She also said that she was going to wear whatever Beyonce wore for Superbowl on the tour. We have no doubt that whatever Sommore rocks on the Royal Comedy Tour, she is going to shine like a 'chandelier' as usual!
The Superbowl wasn't the only thing kicking off this weekend! Sommore, DL Hughley, Bruce Bruce, and Tony Rock brought the funny to New Orleans the night before the Superbowl, marking the start of the 2013 Royal Comedy Tour!
If Twitter is any indication, the comedians seemed psyched:
We got a few tweets from audience members about the show too, and more than one about the chandelier-status style of Sommore.
Spring dates have just been announced, and tickets will be going onsale for all shows soon. Stay tuned for all the latest info by following us on twitter (@royalcomedytour) and facebook.

Our Tony Rock and Earthquake had the chance to talk with Humor Mill Magazine at the launch of Tony's new comedy series called "The Comedy Underground". Earthquake was also on the red carpet at the launch and spoke about his new projects, and TV special.
We successfully completed the second to last weekend of our Spring 2012 Tour... a bittersweet feeling! We made our first stop of the weekend in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Friday, April 6. It was Sommore, Bruce Bruce, Earthquake, and Tony Rock on stage at the River Center. They were really excited about the show, and the fans gave great energy that night too. It's funny how the RCT family gets just as excited as our fans in each city we bring the funny to. Tony Rock was all excited about heading to Baton Rouge, a city he's never been to... first stop.. gotta check out the hood! LOL We got our laugh on Friday night and had a good time with DJ Eagle Eye. Saturday we headed to DC, Upper Marlboro with Sommore, Bruce Bruce, Earthquake, Mark Curry, and Tony Rock... the whole FAM! Much love to our fans/ the whole crowd at the Showplace Arena who came out and had great energy. Earthquake's Twitter fam showed mad love updating during the show and tweeting on what a good time they had. He said, "It feel good knowin pple appreciate what we do as comics". Sommore updated her fans on Twitter putting it like this: "Remember to enjoy the journey... The ride is good but the Journey is what counts! I love my life!". The best part about our "Royal Family" is that they truly appreciate their fans and love what they do AND THEY ARE HILAROUS! :)
That pretty much sums it up right there!

It's the Weekend Recap for the 9th week of the Royal Comedy Tour! We hit up Norfolk, VA, Greenville, SC, and had a special April Fool's Comedy Festival in Hartford, CT on Sunday.
"I've got to admit it's getting better... better all the time...". The weekends just keep getting better and better and better and.... We cannot believe the tour is almost over!! Time had been flying by and the RCT fam has been having such a good time in every city that we bring the laughs to.
This weekend we hit up Norfolk on Friday. Sommore, Bruce Bruce, Earthquake and Tony Rock killed it! A special thanks to our girl DJ Erika B!! Saturday was Greenville at the BI-LO Center with the same crew, and DJ Lil Swann on the 1's and 2's. Sunday we made a special trip to Hartford, CT for the April Fool's Comedy Festival. It was Sommore, Arnez J, Earthqauke, Mark Curry and Bruce Bruce. The XL Center was in tears laughing so hard- all the comedians were so hilarious. A big thanks to G-Unit's own Big TY for djing for us.
Thanks to all who came out this weekend to celebrate royal comedy and laughter with us. Enjoy our social media recap:
Weekend Recap: Savannah & Jackson
Well, the 8th weekend of our Spring 2012 tour has officially been SUCCESSFULLY completed. Sommore, Earthquake, Mark Curry, and Tony Rock tore it up in Savannah, Georgia on Friday night, March 23rd. We had a great crowd show out at the Civic Center that night. Like always, we had amazing feed back from our crowd in Savannah. One of our fans said it best, "Comedy is NOT easy especially when most USA are pissed!". We are so grateful for all of our fans, and the fact that they come out during some of the hardest economic times. That's loyalty to Royal comedy!!! :) A big thanks to DJ CJ on the 1's and 2's that night too.
We traveled to Jackson, Mississippi for the last tour night of the weekend, Saturday, March 24th. Again, great night, and so much love from the crowd at the MS Coliseum. Also, so much feedback on social media, which is always so amazing to see. Sommore, Bruce Bruce, Arnez J, and Tony Rock had the crowd hurtin'! Celebrity Lyfe has put the spotlight on Earthquake and his rumble throughout the comedy game. Their online blog spot on Quake entitled "EARTHQUAKE JOINS THE ROYAL COMEDY TOUR on the COVER OF ROLLING OUT!", touches on his career in the business, his soon to release HBO comedy special, and the buzz he has created as a part of the RCT.
"Earthquake shakes up audiences with his high brow-common sense rhetoric as one of the most sought after comedians on the national entertainment circuit."
Tony Rock had some celebrity friends stop by the back to back shows in Atlanta, Georgia last weekend. Check out the picture below with VH1 "Single Ladies" stars Lisa Raye and D.B. Woodside posing backstage at the Civic Center!

Good morning and happy Monday fans! It's "The Weekend Recap".
This weekend we had three shows... one in Rochester on Friday, February 24th and two back-to-back shows in Detroit on Saturday, February 25th. It was such a good weekend. Sommore, Arnez J, Mark Curry and Tony Rock tore up the stage in Rochester. We had a fabulous time. That night we had DJ Justincredible of 1039 WDKX on the 1's and 2's. You can check out our Twitter @RoyalComedyTour to see pictures we retweeted of DJ Justincredible backstage with Mark Curry and Tony Rock.
Saturday night was crazy! We had a 7:00pm show followed by a 10:30pm show. Sommore, Bruce Bruce, Earthquake, and Tony Rock made Detroit laugh double time! We had Chicago native DJ C Boogie spinning for us that night, and we're sure he can attest to the fact that both shows were phenomenal.
Again, we had awesome feedback and love from our fans this past weekend (our fourth weekend)!!
Thanks to our fans, we get to do what we love, make you laugh!
Check out the buzz from this past weekend:
This past Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Mark Curry talked with Tariq on Rochester's WDKX radio. Mark talked up the tour coming to the Rochester Auditorium this weekend, Friday February 24th. He also talked about what it's like behind the scenes on the tour, his Mr. Cooper days, basketball, the NY Knicks, possibly running for president, and more.
We've come to the conclusion that Mark can be talking about absolutely nothing and it is still absolutely HILARIOUS!
We are officially THREE weeks into the 2012 tour... and it is safe to say that we are all enjoying ourselves thoroughly.
This past weekend we were in Baltimore on Friday, Philly on Saturday, and Tampa on Sunday. Long story short, it was a FANTASTIC weekend for all. Each night was better than the last! Sommore, Bruce Bruce, Earthquake, Mark Curry and Tony Rock tore it up. Sommore was hilarious, dressed to the T (like usual), and as entertaining as ever. Each of the guys were so engaging and inidvidually hilarious in their own right.
The best part of each night was really feeling the love from our crowds. If it weren't for our fans we would not be the longest running urban comedy tour in the country! Nothing is better than the amazing feedback we recieve from each city we go to.
Here's a recap from this weekend... our fans in Baltimore, Philly and Tampa!
"As usual, the Queen of Comedy was FULL of jokes as she spoke on being inspired by Kanye West’s kilt, her love for reality TV show and their drama, and her special Valentine’s Day. Being probably one of the BIGGEST Whitney Houston’s when she heard about the news, she was distraught", says 92Q's Kelson.
Sommore called into the station this past week, before The Royal Comedy Tour hit Baltimore Friday, February 17. As always, she was funny of energy, jokes, and opinions!
